Sarasota Film Festival

Worked alongside a partner to conceptualize, design, and animate a 15-second logo reveal for the Sarasota Film Festival (SFF). This logo reveal was presented during the veteran's segment of the Sarasota Film Festival.

I animated :07-:15 seconds and also helped to fine-tune the beginning half.

Process

Initial Concept

We wanted to capture the essence of diversity found in the Sarasota Film Festival including the people involved in making the festival possible. We wanted it to be a celebration of everyone involved.

Concept Statement: Sarasota Film Festival brings a community of people together through their love of storytelling.  The use of various typefaces and occupations are brought together to display the festival's diversity.

Each colored circle is a different category of words. We start zooming out with very few words appearing, and end up with the words becoming so dense that the circle becomes more prominent. We continue to zoom out revealing that the words made up the elements of the SFF logo.
